Since Canada joined the Apostille Convention on 11 January 2024, British Columbia issues apostilles for BC documents through the Order in Council Administration Office in Victoria. Convention-member destinations generally accept an apostille, while federal documents such as RCMP criminal record checks are handled by Global Affairs Canada.
