Document Legalization for Haiti — Powers of Attorney & Civil Documents from Canada

Haiti's official languages are French and Haitian Creole, and Haitian institutions work in French — which gives Quebec clients a real advantage, since documents from the Directeur de l'état civil and Quebec notarial acts are already in French. Documents from other provinces, and federal documents issued in English, generally need certified French translation before Haitian offices will process them comfortably.

Canadian citizens have generally not needed a visitor visa for Haiti for short stays, though conditions can change and travellers should confirm current entry rules and travel advisories before any trip.
